U-18 World Championship | Damneet Has Achieved Something Which No Indian Did Till Now
Damneet Singh created History by Winning first ever medal for India in IAAF U-18 World Athletics Championship
Damneet Singh has won SILVER medal in Hammer Throw at the U 18 World's going on in Nairobi, Kenya with a throw of 74.20 m.
The Silver is significant for India on the world stage as it is the first ever medal for the country in hammer throw.
Damneet threw a personal best of 74.20 m in his first attempt which fetched him a well deserved silver medal. Ukrainian took the Gold with a throw of 82.31 m, followed by German who won the bronze with the throw of 71.78 m.

Damneet Singh was silver medalist at youth Asian Athletic Championship 2017 with a throw of 70.29 M.
DAMNEET SINGH is a hammer thrower from Punjab, who won GOLD medal in youth national athletic championship with the performance of (72.75) at Hyderabad and he has created a new national record. He had got qualified for youth Asia and world youth Championships. He was also awarded with best athlete of the meet and is ranked No 2 in ASIA and now he has won the silver medal at U18 Worlds.
He was National school games champion in U-17 & U-19 and record holder with throws of 70.60 mtrs in U-17 and 65.29 in U-19 category
He is receiving his coaching under the only PHD holder in India for Hammer Throw.
