Mithali made debut at the age 16 and became leading run scorer in ODI. 

Mithali Raj had come into the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 in second spot in the list of highest run scorers in Women’s 

ODI's.

However, she first went past England’s Charlotte Edwards’ score of 5992 runs in ODI cricket and now, she became the first bats-woman to go past 6000 runs in Women’s ODI cricket. This might be her last World Cup and she has made it count with fifties two matches.

Mithali Raj had also scored a century (114*) on her ODI debut in 1999 against Ireland.

Indian women’s cricket team captain who broke two world records in the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup, breaks one more  record after becoming the highest run scorer by crossing England's Charlotte Edwards record of most runs in women’s ODI's.

The former England captain previously hold the record for most runs in women’s ODI's with 5,992 runs from 191 ODI's .

During India’s opening match of the Women's world cup against the hosts England, she became the first woman to score seven consecutive ODI fifties and she also holds the record for most fifties in women’s ODI's (48).
