Be it the men in blue or women in blue, when India or Pakistan collide it is more than just a game of cricket. Be it the festive spark in either of the countries or the emotions attached which run high, proves that it is more than a religion in both the countries.

     Having made an incredible and a dream start in the ICC  women’s world cup 2017 by beating the hosts England by 35 runs and the windies by seven wickets; India star the favorites against Pakistan who have not performed up to the mark in the tournament so far.



While the Indian batsmen did a good job against England and the bowlers against the windies, it is the fielding department which has been an issue. Smriti Mandhana being in the form of her life having her dream run with match winning knocks of 90 against England and an unbeaten 106 against the windies even though not having played international cricket since January due to the injury in her left knee.



Spin trio Deepthi, Poonam and Kaur picking a couple of wickets each against windies are the key today. The pitch is expected to be on the slower side. Hence spin and win is India’s winning strategy for the day.



Pakistan on the other hand are looking to end their losing streak not having registered a victory in the tournament so far. After humiliating defeats in the hands of South Africa and England, a victory is all they need to boost their confidence. Pakistan here hoping to repeat the success of men’s cricket team. Sarfaraaz Ahmed’s team being the most underrated team considering their ranking stunned the entire cricketing world by registering a victory against India in the champion’s trophy final.
