EPIC TWEET FROM LEGEND PANKAJ ADVANI AFTER BEATING PAKISTAN TO LIFT ASIAN TITLE

Asian Snooker Championship India Wins Asian Title

India beat Pakistan to win Asian Snooker Championship by winning with a clear margin of 3-0 in a best-of-five match to become the champions for 2017 edition for the tournament.

Laxman Rawat pairing with the legend of the circuit Pankaj Advani has learnt a lot as he has now secured his first major title while Pankaj secured his 8th overall major title and his second Asian title this season was the only one who did not lose an individual match in the team event.

Indian team took a comfortable lead when the experienced Advani  played first and Pakistani’s got a single point benefiting from a foul from the Indian player, but Advani being used his experienced and stitched together a wonderful break of 83 points to win the first game of the match.

It was then Rawat’s turn to face the his opponent, the 25yr old youngster who has been dominating the Delhi and then National circuits for some years now did not disappoint  by showing his flair to start off with a brilliant break of 73 and won the game without his opponent even scoring  a single point.

Pakistan had to win the 3rd game to keep their chances open, and it was a huge task for the them heading towards the doubles round where they  started well and this is where Laxman played a superb break of 50 to reduce the deficit of the similar margin to bring India back into the game but  again a regulation mistake brought back the Pakistan player Babar Masih to the table and he knew that if anything went wrong then it would have been all over for them, with such huge expectations piling on him he crumbled and gave the chance to Pankaj to finish the task for India which he did with utmost authority, wrapping up the tie and give India the Asian Snooker Championship.

India A was represented by comprised Malkeet Singh with Ashok Shandilya as coach.

Both Malkeet and Laxman won their first Asian title.
