They started this World Cup journey with a remarkable win against England and the winning moments continued with short hiccups. In their last group match against New Zealand, they confirmed their spot in the Semi-Finals of Women's World cup 2017.

Punam Raut : One of the stylish player in our Women’s squad, steady and composed and leading from the front in key matches . She has given wonderful opening for India in prestigious first match against England. She scored 86 runs, little bit slow but made her partner life easy by rotating strike. She missed 100 in this match, little bit disappointment for Punam fans out there. But she fulfilled her fans dream with a bang 106 runs in match against Australia, but we lost that match.Finally, in match between India vs Pakistan, on a slow track she scored 47 very crucial runs .

Smriti Mandhana : Another stunning display by Smriti Mandhana in this World cup 2017. She won hearts of Indians with her runs and her fielding. She scored 90 in first innings in a strong partnership with Punam Raut against England in opening match, followed with a 100 against West Indies. Smriti is known for her strike rate, she maintained nearly 100+ in every match she played.
She in second spot from India with batting average of 37.66 and Mithali Raj with 57.15.

Mithali Raj : She is always there in the middle order to steady the ship at number 4 for India.
She is having tons of experience in this women’s squad with all the shots in her book. Openers had given good starts in first two matches in this World Cup, later it’s only the middle order that kept India in hunt for the World cup 2017.
Mithali scored regular fifties for India, and also became the highest run getter in history of women's cricket, crossing the milestone of 6000 runs.

Ekta Bisht : This world cup was all about spinners. Ekta Bisht played key role picking wickets for Indian team. She got five wicket haul in match against Pakistan which was third win for India and hat trick for Blue jersey. She got another two wickets in match against South Africa, but we ended up at the losing side.

Rajeswari : She missed all of the games and got her spot in last group match against New Zealand. She came back with a bang and before the New Zealand dressing room what was happening, she collapsed half of the NZ team and restricted them under 80 runs.
This match will be a boost for team India in upcoming matches.

Jhulan Goswami : One of the tall fast bowler from team India, she is the leading wicket taker in Women cricketing world. She got record for bowling at the same time Mithali also scored 6000 runs in ODI. Goswami is the clean hitter from women's team. She played key-role in Australia innings India scored just 226 runs, Goswami scored 43 in that match and which is very good runs for batsman who comes in lower order

Deepti Sharma : She is one of the gifted all rounder of Team India. When openers failed or Middle order is under pressure she can score runs. Also she can pick wickets at crucial times.She scored 78 runs against Srilanka, 60 against Australia. Coming to bowl she took 3 wickets to restrict England and she produced another spell against West indies and New Zealand with 2 wickets each time.

Harmanpreet Kaur : All rounders always play key role when team faces unexpected moments. Fielding, batting or bowling whatever it may be they always have their part to play. Kaur didn't disappoint this time as she scored 60 against New Zealand when our opening pair failed to score runs in virtual Quater Final, last night. She had taken 2 wickets against West indies to restrict them under 200, also she took two wickets in South Africa match.
