Pro Kabbadi League - Top Players Not Retained by Teams
Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 10 Player
Auction Scheduled for September 8-9
In an exciting announcement, Mashal Sports,
the organizers of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), have revealed that the player
auction for Season 10 will take place on September 8-9. This highly anticipated
event will bring together over 500 players, including the 24 players from the
two finalist teams of the Khelo India University Games 2023.
One of the significant updates for this
season is the increase in the Salary Purse available to each franchise. With a
rise from INR 4.4 crore to INR 5 crore after three seasons, teams now have more
resources at their disposal to build a robust and competitive squad.
To ensure fairness and balanced rosters,
the domestic and overseas players will be divided into four categories:
Category A, B, C, and D. Within these categories, players will be further
classified as 'All-Rounders, Defenders, and Raiders.' The base prices for each
category are as follows: Category A – INR 30 Lakh, Category B – INR 20 Lakh,
Category C – INR 13 Lakh, and Category D – INR 9 Lakh.
Furthermore, teams have the opportunity to
retain players from their previous PKL Season 9 squads. Under the Elite
Retained Players classification, franchises can retain up to six players, given
the stipulated conditions set by the league. This retention policy allows teams
to maintain continuity and stability while building their squads for the
upcoming season.
For the remaining players who are not
retained by any franchise, they will enter the player pool of 500+ participants
and go under the hammer during the thrilling two-day auction process in Mumbai.
The Pro Kabaddi League continues to
captivate audiences, and Season 10 promises to be an exhilarating competition
with its revamped player auction and retention policies. Stay tuned for further
updates on Pro Kabaddi Retention and the exciting developments leading up to
the highly anticipated tournament.
