Chennai - Predicting Harmanpreet Singh to score from a Penalty Corner is like predicting Chennai’s weather to be humid and hot. That was the setting for tonight's opponents. It was not a given. Pakistan scored before having it taken away due to foul play and was awarded a penalty corner instead.
15 seconds before the end of the first quarter, India was awarded its first Penalty Corner, in which Harmanpreet converted into a goal. The hosts have comprehensively bettered their opponents in every department, Be it on attack and defence, they made sure that didn't give their opponents a chance to have a sniff at the game.
This defeat means Pakistan are knocked out of the semifinals. Korea and Japan make the cut along with the unbeaten hosts and Malaysia.
The Semifinals will take place this Friday, as India will take on Japan at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium, Chennai.
