BWF Super 500 Australian Open - HS Prannoy defeats Compatriot Rajawat for a place in Singles' Final.

Sydney, Australia - Star Badminton player HS Prannoy continues his fine form as he beats young compatriot Priyanshu Rajawat to the final. This will be Prannoy's second final in a super 500 event this season, this time against China's Weng Hong Yang on Sunday. Prannoy with his wit and skill, beat the semifinal debutant with a scoreline of 21-18, 21-12. The first set of the game was a close call, as the young man gave his everything to beat the veteran. The second set was where Prannoy used his vast experience to finish off Rajawat.

Prannoy route to the final is remarkable. Close encounters with worthy opponents like World number 2 Ginting in the quarter finals(21-16, 21-17,21-14), and Shi Yuqi in the pre quarters(21-19,21-19,21-13). His route to the final also exemplifies his ability to force mistakes from his opponents. Hopefully it will be the same tomorrow as he faces Yang for the second time in his career. Prannoy defeated Weng in the Malaysia Masters final match to earn his first individual title in six years in May. This marks the end of Rajawat's remarkable with the defeat, finishing in the first-ever super 500 semifinal.
