3 MEDALS FOR INDIAN WRESTLERS AT JUNIOR WORLD WITH A RARE BRONZE IN GRECO-ROMAN

INDIA'S MEDAL WIN IN GRECO-ROMAN AT WORLD WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS IS A BREAKING NEWS IN SPORTS CURRENT EVENTS.

One of the top news in world news sports is that India has ended their campaign today with 3 Medals in Junior World Wrestling Championships in Tampere, Finland. In-spite all of the medals being bronze, it could be deemed as a successful outing for Indian wrestlers as they return with medals in all 3 categories- Men's Freestyle, Women's Freestyle and Men's Greco-Roman. On the top of it, India has won a medal in Greco-Roman category, which is always considered a weak point for Indian wrestling. Wrestling, as a sport, is always a successful medal hunt for India, but still this is a rare occasion in sports today, as after several years, an Indian wrestler wins a medal in Greco-Roman. Sajan Bhanwal in 74kg Greco-Roman had done that magic to win BRONZE and Manish Kundu in 60kg could have easily made it 2 medals for India in Greco-Roman if he hadn't lost out narrowly in the bronze medal bout.

In Men's Freestyle 74kg, Veer Dev Gulia won BRONZE and in Women's Freestyle 59kg, Manju Kumari won BRONZE.  In 2016 Junior World Championship, India failed to win any medals and in

2015 Junior World Championship bagged only a Silver courtesy Ravi Kumar in 55kg Men's Freestyle. So, this has been a better result for India in recent times, even in terms of number of medals won.
